Dinner Rolls
Prep time: 20 Min
Cook time: 20 Min
Inactive time: 2 Hour
Total time: 2 H & 40 M
These dinner rolls can only be described as little warm pillows of heaven. They are buttery, soft, and very easy to make.
Ingredients
1/2 cup milk
1/2 cup water
2 1/4 teaspoon yeast
2 large eggs
1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted and cooled
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups all-purpose flour
Instructions
Warm milk and water in a small saucepan OR in the microwave until the mixture reaches 110 degrees F.
In the bowl of your mixer whisk together milk mixture and 1 tablespoon of sugar. Sprinkle the yeast over the top and let it sit for 5 to 10 minutes or until the yeast looks foamy.
Add in the eggs, melted butter, the rest of the sugar, salt and flour. Mix on low with a dough hook just until the flour is incorportated.
Increase the speed to medium and knead for 5-8 minutes or until the dough is smooth and tacky but not sticky.
Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface and form into a ball. Place the dough in an oiled bowl and cover it with plastic wrap. Let it rise in a warm place for 1 or 2 hours or until doubled in size.
Turn out the dough onto a lightly floured surface and cut it into 12-15 equal pieces. Roll each piece into a dough and place them into an oiled 9x13 baking dish.
Cover the dinner rolls with a towel or plastic wrap and let them rise again for another 45-60 minutes or until doubled in size.
Preheat oven to 375 and once the rolls have risen bake in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown. If they start browing too much you could always cover them with foil.
Once out of the oven immidetately brush with melted butter.
ENJOY!
