Molten Chocolate Lava Cake Prep time: 10 Min Cook time: 8 Min Total time: 18 Min
Molten chocolate cakes have an oozing molten center that makes them absolutely irresistible. Incredibly easy to make and a total show stopper!
Instructions Preheat oven to 425 degrees F. Butter and lightly flour 2 6-oz ramekins OR spray with baking spray. Combine flour with salt and set aside. In a microwave-safe bowl, microwave the butter and chocolate for a total of 45 seconds or until your chocolate has completely melted. Do this in 15 seconds intervals, so the chocolate doesn't overheat. Once the chocolate has melted, add in the instant coffee and mix to combine. Set aside. In a separate bowl, beat the egg, egg yolk, and sugar until thickened and pale in color. Fold the melted chocolate into the eggs until well combined. Add flour and salt and fold it in once again with a rubber spatula until well combined. Spoon the batter into the prepared ramekins and bake in your preheated oven for 8 to 12 minutes. Remember, the longer they bake, the less molten they will be. Allow to cool for 1 to 2 minutes before inverting them. Serve with ice cream, strawberries, and ENJOY! VIDEO
