Notes:

  • When making the caramel you can swirl the pan but never stir, it will cause your caramel to crystallize.
  • You can serve the flan after it has cooled entirely at room temperature, but I prefer to place it in the refrigerator once it has cooled for one or two hours to make sure it will not fall apart once I'm ready to invert it.
